Silverlight
by Rules
— Released 7th November 2025 on Counter Records
UK-based multi-instrumentalist, artist, DJ and producer Rules shares a new single entitled “Silverlight”, on Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records.
Co-written by songwriting heavyweights Poppy Baskcomb (known for collaborations with D.O.D, Sonny Fodera, and Miss Monique), the acclaimed duo PARISI (who have worked with Fred Again and Swedish House Mafia), and veteran writer/producer Paul Harris (whose credits include Calvin Harris and Underworld) – Rules was deeply moved by the emotional resonance of "Silverlight," and further brought out a wide range of energies both chilled and euphoric, introspective and expressive.
Speaking on the new single, Rules says “I wrote Silverlight around the circular motion of the hypnotic vocal hook from Poppy Baskcomb. I wanted it to feel both chilled and energetic with euphoria and introspection whilst also being fit for the dance floor. Silverlight reminds me of the street/headlights when driving around in the later hours and I wanted to create that feeling with this track.”
