The title track comes off of their latest album ‘The Last Goodbye’ (Foreign Family Collective/Ninja Tune), currently nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the forthcoming 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
Throughout his career, Hayden has earned platinum & gold certifications in Australia, tour around the globe and boasts a collaborative/production resume that, in addition to ODESZA, includes Katy Perry, Gorgon City, Yaeger, NAATIONS and more. Of today’s release, Harrison & Clayton said, “Hayden was one of the first people we met on a tour in Australia back in 2014. From our first encounter we knew we had met a lifelong friend and continued to tour together throughout our early years as a group. It’s been incredible to watch his music evolve and grow over his career. We can’t think of a better person to have remixed a song so close to our hearts."
Remix drop follows the release of 2022’s ‘The Last Goodbye Remixes N°.1’ EP which included reimagined cuts from the nostalgic and transformative LP by tastemakers including the likes of DJ Seinfeld, Gilligan Moss, Devault, Nils Hoffmann and Eli & Fur. It also continues major momentum for the album which became one of 2022’s most celebrated electronic releases, landing at #2 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and #11 on the Billboard 200. Billboard named ‘The Last Goodbye’ one of the “25 Best Dance Albums of 2022”, calling it “their most expansive and intricate record to date…The Last Goodbye is grand, soft, hard, memorable, emotional and just unmistakably ODESZA,” while Associated Press said it’s “an indescribable, immersive listening experience”.
The album, which in addition to LaVette includes collabs with The Knocks, Ólafur Arnalds, Julianna Barwick, Izzy Bizu, Charlie Houston, Låpsley, & MARO, also was the focal point for a groundbreaking US tour. “The Last Goodbye Tour” sold over 450k tickets throughout its amphitheater run with numerous sold-out, multi-night runs including in their hometown of Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena, LA’s The Forum, and New York’s Forest Hills Stadium and more (making them the first electronic artists to attempt such a tour). The recent tour also earned high praise with a Pollstar cover feature proclaiming that “ODESZA makes history”, while Billboard added “ODESZA is meant to be seen, and heard, live”, and the Seattle Times called them “a ticket selling, dance music force that raised the live performance bar for electronic artists.”
